Clay Pigeon Shooting

If you have never tried Clay Shooting we have lots of 12g or 20g bore shotgun, live ammunition and fast moving clays. We have a 10 stand sporting layout with a variety of targets and a high tower. For children we have .410 shotguns which are lighter and easier to use, specifically for youngsters. We can show a variety of targets from driven pheasant to crossing targets that move in front of you and even bolting rabbits. Decoy pigeon, springing duck. To add to the dynamics this can be used as a part of a multi-activity package or bespoke shooting day package where team flushes can be incorporated. All necessary safety gear for eyes, head and ears protection supplied. Shoulder pads and low recoil cartridges are used to eliminate any discomfort.

PRIVATE LESSONS can be arranged either for individuals or shared lessons. Please contact for more information and prices, but they can be from £70 plus cartridges and clays.

Owl Lodge Clay shoots run a 50 bird Practice layout – 1st SUNDAY ONLY from  April through to September.  Then from October through to March its every 1st and 3rd SUNDAYS.   See our Facebook Page @owllodgeclayshoot for times and dates and lots of information. A friendly and informal practice shoot suitable for novices through to experts. Not recommended for total beginners. Cost is £14 for 50 clays – felt wad cartridges only. Opens at 10am for registration and coffee/tea and bacon rolls and shooting finishes at 12.30pm. No need to book on, just turn up on the day. Cartridges available at £6.50 per box. You get a score card to keep up. 50 bird practice layout, no competition.
